About the Building Department:
The Building Department is responsible for the review of plans for building permits and inspections of new construction to ensure public safety in compliance with the Massachusetts State Building Code, 780 CMR and other applicable codes. In addition, the Building Department issues sign permits, enforces the Town's Protective Zoning By-Laws and the Old King's Highway Regional Historic District regulations.
