Sandwich Recreation Department is hiring for Fall 2023!

The Sandwich Recreation Department will be seeking motivated, responsible individuals eager to gain hands on experience in a variety of roles in the field of municipal recreation !

FALL JOB OPENINGS

 

Sandwich Recreation is currently accepting applications for the following positions: 

 

Position                                                  Approximate dates of position             Salary range

 

Afterschool Recreation Assistant (16 or older)                      Sept. – June                     $16.50/hr

Assists and participates in a variety of youth afterschool recreational programs.  Is responsible for supervising children. The position is approximately 2- 6 hours a week throughout the school year. 

 

Soccer Referee (14 or older)                                                 Sept – Nov                        $16.50/hr

Responsible for the overall monitoring of the soccer players and making crucial decisions, fairly enforcing the rules, while upholding the integrity of the sport and creating  an enjoyable and safe experience for players and spectators. Responsible for interpreting and enforcing the rules of the game while maintaining a high level of professionalism and impartiality. May be responsible for supervising children. This position is approximately 6-8 hours a week for 8 weeks and includes weekends and holidays.   

 

 

Recreation Age Group Director (18 or older)                      Sept- Nov                        $25.00 /hr

Responsible for the organization, supervision and facilitation of Sandwich Recreation Soccer Program under the direction of the Recreation Staff. Position provides high quality program instruction and supervision. This position is approximately 3 hours a week for 8 weeks and includes weekends and holidays.   

 

  • Candidates should have all current certifications and relevant experience.

 The Sandwich Recreation Department is seeking  motivated, responsible individuals eager to gain hands on experience in the field of municipal recreation.  This position will run  May through late August 2024.

Hours:  40 hr/per week (may include some nights, weekends and holiday)

Wages: $15.50 hr .      Housing is available upon request.

To be considered applicants must: Be currently enrolled in a College/ University with an acceptable major and be interested in a career in any of the areas above. Applicants must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, have the ability to work with people of all ages and abilities with attention to detail.
